This is a documentary filmed from around 2013-2015 on the Bitcoin scene in Australia, and mainly it seems in Melbourne. It was originally supposed to be in three parts, but the 3rd part simply rehashed parts on the first two, so I have joined those together here and publish as one.
The makers speak to people active in the Bitcoin scene, either as developers, start-ups, or as businesses interested in using Bitcoin, and seeing what their experience has been like. They also talk to retail users and how this helps them in their everyday transactions.
The film is of course positive as it is made by enthusiasts, but also gives some insight into what people think Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can achieve, which is much more than just a new and decentralised financial system.
It would be good if the makers could make a genuine 3rd part follow-up as things keep changing in the crypto scene, especially in regard to the regulatory situation, and how projects are being financed, and 2019 seems a long way from 2015 by now.
