This is a film from around 2015 primarily about Bitcoin, and incidentally about all the things that surround the rise of that technology: the near collapse of the banking system during the financial crisis of 2008, the attempt to prevent WikiLeaks receiving funding, the cypherpunk and hacker community, the right to free speech and transactions, etc.
Amongst the people interviewed in the film are the usual lineup: Andreas Antonopolous, Cody Wilson, Amir Taaki, Julian Assange, Erik Voorhees, and Elizabeth Starks. The film is made by Tomer Kantor and was recorded over the period 2012-2015.
The film shows through interviews with these people – and many more – how Bitcoin stands at the centre of a revolution in many different ways, but principally because it achieves two things: trust between stangers, and an indelible record, which can be applied not only to currencies but to many other kinds of information also.
